好聚好散。
There is a saying in Chinese that we
work together for fun; when we leave, we will leave on good terms too. Living
true to this saying, we kicked off the investiture for 2012 with a host of
events to commemorate the most important event of C.L.E.A.R Club.
The event started off with a memorable
video made by our 11th Executive Committee. Then, there were three different speeches,
one by Professor Shao Hong Liang, our club advisor; one by Toh Ling Juan, the
president of the 10th Committee; one by Li Mei Juan, the president
of the 11th Committee.
Later, there was a surprise item brought
by our club advisor, Madam Lim Xiu Ling. She chose to sing a song called “相聚”, as the meaningful lyrics bring out the
whole importance of the event. She sang with such passion and grace, while
playing the guitar. It was definitely not easy to juggle both at the same time.
Another song, “少年” was sung by the 11th committee
members. Our talented, Siao Tong was playing the guitar while the rest of the committee
members were providing the voice. Though there were some minor flaws, it did not
lessen the joyous atmosphere. The audience were touched and they started to sing
along with the performers. Everybody enjoyed the session a lot!
The whole event ended with the savoury buffet.
On a closing note, the event was a success and the 10th committee were satisfied with the
performances. To appreciate the 10th Committee’s efforts to
the club, they were presented with souvenirs. The 11th committee
were also presented with the certificates denoting their positions in the
club.
Representing C.L.E.A.R club, we appreciate the contributions done by the 10th
committee and we wish them all the best for their future endeavours.
